Media Review – Max Richter’s Sleep

This month, the smallVOICE team has been watching Max Richter’s Sleep. Natalie John’s documentary film follows composer Max Richter along with his wife and creative partner Yulia Mahr as they prepare for an ambitious overnight open-air performance of his celebrated eight-hour ambient piece ‘Sleep’.

What did the smallVOICE team make of the film? Hopefully no drooling and snoring … Have a listen to what they thought at around  6’07 minutes in to October’s podcast.

Max Richter’s Sleep has a limited cinema release and is available through online streaming services.
