For October’s media review our team read Piranesi, by Susanna Clarke – the winner of the 2021 Women’s Prize for Fiction. In the book, the narrator lives in a place he calls ‘The House’ which he understands to be the whole world. The house is huge- perhaps infinite… with thousands of rooms- extending to include the ocean in the lower halls and the clouds in the upper halls.
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke is published by Bloomsbury. Support your local independent bookshop if you can! Holly also recommends the audiobook.
