Music – David Heavenor

TheInnocentsEyeThis month we feature music from singer-songwriter David Heavenor’s new album The Innocent’s Eye. Two great tracks!

First up is Say Palisadoes which evokes memories of the first few years of David’s life, which he spent in Jamaica. David is accompanied by Sandy Butler on guitar and bass, Steve Butler on piano and Suzanne Butler on violin. Listen at 15’13 minutes into June’s podcast.

Our second featured track is The Green Drove Road – David describes this song as being about a spiritual journey, using the metaphor of a trek towards the island of Iona on the west coast of Scotland. He’s accompanied here by Rory Butler on guitar, Sandy Butler on bass, Steve Butler on piano and organ, Fay Butler on vocals, and Stuart Kidd on drums. Listen at 37’01 in to the podcast.

We’re looking forward to having David here in the smallVOICE studios for October’s podcast so look out for that!
