Music extra – Sally Simpson

So CHUFFED that Sally Simpson has recorded this special video for us, keeping music very much alive, recorded from her home in Glasgow during the Coronavirus lockdown.

She has a couple of tunes for us – the first is an old classic, Mrs Jamieson’s Favourite and the second is a Gaelic reel (‘The Reel of the Brown-haired Girl’). All this and a wee insight into open fiddle tunings!

Watch the video on Facebook or have a listen on our SoundCloud Page!

During this strange, strange time, we want to support and help the musicians who have contributed to our podcast over the years. So, ok, we’re doing ‘tunes from quarantine’, er, ‘songs in the key of lockdown’ …. Whatever it is, we hope you enjoy the music! And if you enjoy it, please consider supporting our music guests by making a purchase from them. Thanks!
