Podcast Extra – Leah Sharibu

I love the name ‘small voice’ … one voice can make a difference.”

Margaret presents an interview with Dave Manse of Christian Solidarity Worldwide who tells us some more about the plight of Leah Sharibu. Leah was our small voice of the month in our March podcast.

Leah Sharibu is one of more than one thousand girls who have been kidnapped in Nigeria by militant Islamist group Boko Haram. Leah was abducted from a college, along with more than 100 other female students, in Daphci, Yobe state, on 19 February 2018 by a faction of Boko Haram called al Barnawi. Of the 105 students who survived (five died en route to where they were held) all have now been released, but Boko Haram has not let Leah go. According to one of the other school girls, Leah declined to renounce her Christian faith and that is why Boko Haram has kept her.

Podcast extra length: 11 minutes 55 seconds.
