small voice of the month – Indepen-dance

Indepen-dance is our small voice of the month for October. This feature is our way of celebrating individuals and organisations which are small but make a big difference. Indepen-dance is an award winning inclusive dance company for disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy, express, and fulfil their potential through dance. Their mission is to enable participation in high quality arts provision and improve wellbeing, quality of life and provide opportunities for disabled and non-disabled dancers in both the professional and non-professional dance sectors. They provide weekly creative movement and dance classes throughout the year.

smallVOICE presenter Margaret went along to meet Karen Anderson who set up Indepen-dance to find more all about it. Listen at 11’38 minutes in to the podcast.
