A Thousand Words: Andrew Barr
Andrew Barr spent more than thirty years making television programmes for both the BBC and ITV, moving from trainee sound recordist to Senior Editorial roles. When he retired in 2000, he was BBC Scotland’s Head of Education and Religious Broadcasting.
Andrew is now an author with a string of titles to his name, mainly books on broadcasting and hymnody – as befits a former Editor of Songs of Praise!
Given his long career in television, it was no surprise that the photo he chose to talk about was drawn from his lifetime’s experience of filming, and he spoke to Anne in October.
