Media Review – In the Days of Rain
Our media review this month is the memoir In The Days of Rain by Rebecca Stott, which just won the Costa Prize for Best Biography 2017. The publisher says that the book is “an enthralling, at times shocking, and deeply personal family memoir of growing up in, and breaking away from, a fundamentalist Christian cult.” The cult in question is the Exclusive or Closed Brethren, and Rebecca traces the history of Christian sect before moving on to her own family’s involvement with it.
So, what does the smallVOICE team make of the book? Listen at 4’05 minutes in to January’s podcast.
