For October’s media review our team read Piranesi, by Susanna Clarke – the winner of the 2021 Women’s Prize for Fiction. In the book, the narrator lives in a place he calls ‘The House’ which he understands to be the whole world. The house is huge- perhaps infinite… with thousands of rooms- extending to include the ocean in the lower halls and the clouds in the upper halls.
