Music Guest – Sally Simpson
Christmas is traditionally a time for getting in touch with old friends, so that’s what we’ve done! As regular listeners will know, Sally Simpson is a fiddler extraordinaire, and old friend of the podcast, and we’re beyond pleased that she has specially recorded this Christmas tune for us. It’s from her Swedish repertoire and is a traditional tune called Julotta, which means ‘Christmas morning’ or the early Christmas Day church service.
Listen at around 25’27 minutes into December’s podcast.
You can keep up with all of Sally’s news on her website and social media – she is playing with her fabulous band Westward the Light at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow on 4th February 2022, and there’s also a new album from the band early in the new year, so watch out for that too!
