Music Guests – Westward the Light

We were so happy that emerging folk band Westward the Light were going to be playing live for us on Thursday 18 June for a smallVOICE session at the Wild Olive Tree Cafe in Glasgow. But, Coronavirus strikes again … It’s now POSTPONED until later in the year. Watch this space! Keep washing those hands!

But to whet your appetite, in this podcast we’re delighted to have two exclusive preview tracks from their debut album!

First up at around 15’06 minutes in to the podcast is ‘Reels’, and then we have the lovely ‘Don oiche ud i mBeithil’ (‘That Night in Bethlehem’) at 28’17 minutes. Have a listen – they’re great!

Westward the Light are Charlie Grey, Sally Simpson, Owen Sinclair and Joseph Peach – you may recall that Sally has played for us several times before in the podcast. The band’s album is released on 27 March.
