small voice of the month – Comfort International
When you came to help us it gave us hope, and we decided we could help ourselves.
Comfort international began as a response to the genocide in Rwanda, simply giving people what they needed to survive. The most important element turned out to be hope – and today Comfort International is helping partners in Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Uganda and South Sudan to respond to the needs of their citizens following genocide, war and other trauma -and now a pandemic.
Our roving reporter Margaret spoke to Callum Henderson, Director of Comfort `International, who tells their story. Listen at around 39’23 minutes in to February’s podcast.
