smallVOICE podcast – April 2022

It’s the near mythical ‘next podcast’ folks… Welcome to the smallVOICE podcast for April and we have sunshine and showers in the form of music and musings on matters moral, spiritual and ethical. We review award-winning poetry book The Kids by Hannah Lowe, which just won the Costa Book of the Year; Anne brings us a Thousand Words with guest Jill Brown; Margaret speaks to knitter Janice Brown for our latest small VOICE of the month,  plus, of course, music – this month in the form of songs from singer/songwriter Ruth Campbell. As ever, we’ll round things off with our Moral Mixdown, which this months considers the ethics of violence, resistance and pacifism and what our personal response might be to a desperate situation such as we currently see in Ukraine.

Presented by Darren, Anne and Holly with roving reporter Margaret. This podcast was recorded on Thursday 7 April 2022, remotely via Zoom.

Available from Apple PodcastsTuneIn Radio and from all your usual podcast Apps.
Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes.

Theme music and stings by Nicolai Heidlas.
