have you guys seen the Christmas starts with Christ parody of the bag ad? I saw this first and thought, pretty good Christian message!

Find Baby Jesus handbagged parody on youtube.

THEN heard your chat about it & went back to see the original ad.

Agree with Margaret, that though as you say Anne in a sense the horse may have bolted re thinking of young people, it’s definitely still in our power as Christians to model and proclaim a very different view of worth.

Thanks Bruce! I saw the parody AFTER seeing the actual ad. I quite liked the tagline (What will you be worshipping this Christmas?) but it’s possible to read the original ad as asking that self-same question. Not that the producers meant it that way, of course!
