A Thousand Words – Anne Dyer
Anne Dyer is the first woman to be elected as a bishop in the Scottish Episcopal Church and is now Bishop of Aberdeen & Orkney. Anne was born in Bradford in West Yorkshire and studied Natural Sciences at Oxford University. After graduating, she worked as a business systems analyst, before training for ministry. She was one of the first women to be ordained in the Church of England, in 1987, and became a priest in 1994.
Anne has a passion for the visual arts, and we invited her to talk about an image that means a great deal to her for December’s podcast.
